Job Summary:
The Two-Year-Old Classroom Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for toddlers. This role includes implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The teacher will maintain open communication with parents and work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a high-quality early childhood education experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Management & Instruction
Implement Frog Street Curriculum,
Foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Encourage social interactions, independence, and self-regulation.
Maintain a structured yet flexible daily schedule, including playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities.
Use positive behavior management techniques to guide children’s behavior.
Child Development & Care
Support children in developing language, fine and gross motor skills, and early problem-solving abilities.
Assist with toilet training and personal hygiene routines.
Monitor and assess developmental progress and communicate with parents about milestones.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Communication & Collaboration
Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Communicate effectively with parents through daily reports, newsletters, and conferences.
Work closely with co-teachers and staff to provide a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
Classroom Organization & Compliance
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as required by licensing and school policies.
Document incidents, injuries, and concerns appropriately.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).CDA (Child development Association Credential
Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting.
Understanding of child development principles and best practices.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift and carry children up to 40 lbs.
Frequent bending, standing, and sitting on the floor.
Active participation in classroom activities, including indoor and outdoor play.
