Materials Manager

Materials Manager (Bilingual Korean required)\n\nTimpl had partnered up with a global EV battery manufacturing company and is\nlooking for a Materials Manager\n\n\nSummary\nThis position is responsible for working as a floor Materials Management member\nto work successfully and safely to meet the needs of its customers, both\ninternal and external. This position is responsible for managing, coordinating,\nand executing to internal flow/control of materials to support the needs of all\nproduction areas. You must effectively communicate with multiple departments to\nmitigate any bottlenecks in the supply chain to eliminate the risk of production\ndowntime.\n\nResponsibilities:\n * Manage daily scheduling of trucks bringing in materials, escalating to\n carriers as needed\n * Escalate grouping or invoicing errors as well as any damage claims upon\n receipt of products\n * Ensure the rest of the team follows processes related to tracking and\n maintaining inventory, escalating issues caused by deviations from\n established processes\n * Oversee logistics and production support, materials, inventory, delivery,\n conveyance, demand analysis, scheduling, and forecast analysis\n * Track KPIs affecting the materials management team\n * Identify and lay out processes for non-standard work and non-conforming\n product\n * Uphold quality standards for finishing product and shipping, including\n identifying defected material and holding and escalating to production\n departments if necessary\n * Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:\n * Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain\n * Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container\n\nConduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\n* Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant\n experience\n\nExperience:\n* 7 to 10+ years of related experience\n* 3+ years in materials and warehousing (preferred)\n* 3 to 6+ years of experience leading and managing multiple processes\n* Experience with large production lines and floor management\n\nSkills:\n* Knowledge of DOT certification\n* Leadership\n* Communication\n* Coaching\n* Discipline\n* Active learning\n* Time management\n* Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team\n\n
