This role blends analytical leadership with consulting rigor—owning end‑to‑end client deliverables, translating complex analyses into executive‑ready insights, and building durable relationships with senior leaders. The Associate Director is accountable for both what is delivered and how it is experienced by the client.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership & Relationship ManagementServe as the client lead for forecasting engagements, building credibility with senior leadersDevelop trusted‑advisor relationships by proactively surfacing insights, risks, and decision implicationsLead executive‑level discussions, steering conversations from data to implications, trade‑offs, and actionable recommendationsLead client discussions aimed at identifying business issues/needs, articulating precise problem statements, devising solution approach/methodology, and leading project delivery and analytical troubleshootingAnticipate client needs and shape follow‑on work by identifying new questions, uncertainties, or decision pointsDelivery Ownership & Quality AssuranceOwn end‑to‑end delivery of forecasting engagements (Long Range Plans, assumptions development, BD&L), including timelines, scope, assumptions, and final outputsManage multiple concurrent projects ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and on-time deliveryEnsure all client deliverables are analytically sound, clearly structured, and executive‑ready (slides, models, narratives)Translate complex model outputs, scenarios, and uncertainties into concise, decision‑focused stories for senior leadershipSet and enforce high quality standards across models, documentation, and client materialsTeam Leadership & CollaborationPartner with onshore and offshore teams (Directors / Managers), providing clear direction, feedback, and mentorshipGuide teams on forecasting methodologies, assumption development, scenario planning, and risk assessmentCollaborate closely with account leads, partners, and cross‑functional experts to deliver integrated solutionsStrategic Thinking & Problem SolvingFrame ambiguous client questions into structured forecasting problems aligned to business decisionsChallenge assumptions and pressure‑test scenarios to ensure forecasts are robust, unbiased, and decision‑relevantIncorporate market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and uncertainty into forecast narrativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, etc.) with 10+ years of relevant experienceDeep experience leading client engagements and presenting to senior executivesWorking knowledge of pharma industry datasets: claims data, IQVIA XPONENT, NPA, NSP, 867, or similar datasetsStrong understanding of forecasting concepts (e.g., drivers, scenarios, uncertainty, launch forecasting)Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or other data‑intensive industries strongly preferredCore CompetenciesExecutive Communication: Clear, concise, and confident with senior leadersClient Ownership: Takes full accountability for outcomes and client satisfactionStructured Thinking: Breaks complex problems into decision‑oriented frameworksInfluence Without Authority: Aligns stakeholders and teams through credibility and insightCoaching Mindset: Develops talent while maintaining delivery excellenceInnovation: Seeks opportunities to continuously improve processes and analytics using AIMeasures of SuccessHigh client satisfaction and repeat engagement with senior stakeholdersConsistently on‑time, high‑quality deliverables that influence real decisionsStrong project team performance, morale, and skill developmentRecognition as a trusted forecasting and strategic thought partnerPay Transparency LawsSalary range or hourly pay range for the positionThe salary range for this position is $157,600 to $205,425 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
