Manufacturing Engineer

Epitec is seeking a Plant Vehicle Team Engineer to join our automotive client's team in Wayne, MI. As a Plant Vehicle Team Engineer, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving quality issue resolution at the plant level and ensuring vehicle systems meet quality standards.This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversionThis is an onsite position in Wayne, MIThis position offers $42.30/hour, 10 days PTO, medical/retirement contributions (if desired)Responsibilities:Act as the frontline quality engineer within the vehicle assembly plant, identifying and resolving functional system quality issuesInvestigate component and process-related issues impacting vehicle quality in the plant and remote build centersWork closely with Body Exterior engineering to support quality targets for trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing systemsReview warranty data, customer feedback, and dealership comments to identify trends and categorize issuesLead root cause investigations on returned parts and drive interim containment and permanent corrective actionsCoordinate with dealerships and customers to validate repair information and understand field concernsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required3+ years of experience in product development, quality, program, or manufacturing engineeringStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experienceExperience in an automotive plant or manufacturing environment preferredWERS release tool experience strongly preferredSix Sigma Black Belt training preferredMaster’s degree preferredFully onsite role
