Position Title: Jr. Technical AnalystLocation: Fairfax, VA (Onsite)Clearance Requirements: NonePosition Status: Contract to HirePay Rate: $40 - $50 per hourPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Technical Analyst with a passion for digital platforms, APIs, and modern application architecture. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver scalable web, mobile, chat, and voice solutions.This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals looking to deepen their experience in API analysis, system integration, and Agile delivery environments while contributing to high-impact, customer-facing digital products.Key Responsibilities:Translate business requirements into technical system specifications for web and mobile applicationsAnalyze and evaluate APIs (REST/SOAP) to support system capabilities and integrationsMap and document data flows between systems and servicesCreate and maintain system requirement documentation, including interface specificationsSupport feature prioritization, backlog refinement, and sprint planning in Agile/Scrum environmentsPerform application testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure system qualityInvestigate system issues using logs, documentation, and testing scenarios to identify root causesCollaborate with QA and development teams to resolve defects and production issuesDeliver functional demos to internal teams and business stakeholdersWork effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment managing multiple prioritiesRequired Skills/Education:2–5 years of experience in a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar roleStrong understanding of API integrations, microservices, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)Experience with multi-tier application architecture (presentation, service, and data layers)Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and validationHands-on experience translating business needs into technical requirementsFamiliarity with JSON, XML, and data mapping conceptsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments (sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsNice to Have:Experience supporting web and mobile applications (external-facing platforms preferred)Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUIExposure to chat, voice, or digital communication platformsExperience writing service-level or API requirementsAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
