Laboratory Technician II

MPL Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Technician II in Sparta, NJ. This position reports to the Laboratory Director. Ideal candidate will have experience with inoculation and microbial USP testing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform USP testing: Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing Microbiological Examination of Nonsterile Products: Microbial Enumeration Tests Microbiological Examination of Nonsterile Products: Test for Specified Microorganisms Microbial Enumeration Tests Nutritional and Dietary Supplements Microbial Procedures for Absence of Specified Microorganisms – Nutritional and Dietary Supplements USP Suitability of test methods PCPC M – 3 Method for Preservation Efficacy Testing of Water – Miscible Personal Care Products Isolation of organisms and Gram Staining along with various identification tests Understanding of cGMP requirements and documentation Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Microbiology or related science One to Three years of professional laboratory experience Experience with various microbiological media and serial dilutions Excellent Oral, Written, and Technical Communication Must have math aptitude Organized and possess the ability to plan day to day duties Must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis Professional laboratory attire and mannerisms Time management skills Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to climb ladders Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds Background Check Required Available Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For consideration all applicants must apply through our company web site: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=40&rid=4368 EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account To find out more about MPL Laboratories visit: https://www.mpllaboratories.com/ To find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com EOE including Veterans and Disabled Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
