Product Test Technician [Santa Ana]
Iteris is seeking a Product Test Technician whose primary responsibility will be to assist with the daily work assignments and priorities for the manufacturing team. This job includes trouble shooting and correcting of mechanical and electrical problems and requires skill in these areas. The individual collaborates with Manufacturing Engineers to improve product quality and processes. The job requires the individual to actively update testing requirements to ensure all potential quality issues are addressed during final testing. The individual aids in determining root cause and implementing corrective actions. He/she must be a detail-oriented person with a “can do” attitude and tenacity to resolve challenges that impact company goals and objectives.What You Will Be DoingInterface with Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineering to ensure the correct testing methods are usedSupport training of others to maintain maximum performanceSupport efforts to determine root-cause and develop permanent resolution on issues found during product builds and testImprove area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and constant scrutinyReview upcoming test requests/schedule with the Production Manager on a periodic basisWork with Engineering to write the test procedureDesign control systems to coordinate activities to ensure that products meet quality standardsReport problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to ManagerIdentify and support continuous improvement efforts with ManagerSustain and drive lean manufacturing and 6S activitiesMaintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functionsProvide support to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skillPerform other functions as may be assigned by the ManagerWhat You Need To Be Successful In This RoleHigh School degree or general education degree (GED) requiredA minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceOver five (5) years' working in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesBilingual (English/Spanish), a plusAbility to exert moderate physical effort which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)Iteris anticipates paying an hourly rate between $25.00 and $28.00 for this role.
