As a Safety Manager at SRM Concrete, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's safety initiatives and overall culture. Working as an individual in the region, and also part of a larger safety team that serves SRM Concrete in 23 states, you will be at the forefront of promoting a culture of safety as you partner with team members and management regionally, and across the country. The ideal candidate is passionate, with a high level of integrity, and a strong sense of commitment to their responsibilities, the company's mission, and overall success.Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspections of our sites to identify hazards and safety risksCoordinate and manage all motor vehicle accident management processes within the assigned regionCoordinate and manage all worker's compensation claims within the assigned regionDevelop and implement inspection policies, procedures, and a schedule of routine inspectionCreate and implement short and long term safety strategies to build a culture of safety in the organizationSchedule and conduct training covering emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.Monitor compliance with safety procedures and document inspection findings in comprehensive reports.Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Ability to work independently in the Richmond region.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred.Five years of related experience in a safety or management role.Physical Requirements:Capable of conducting inspections and carrying equipmentComfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAble to lift up to 25 pounds at a timeComfortable and physically able to visit and work at concrete plants and mines on a routine basisAbout us: SRM strives to be the largest, most profitable construction material company in the country, while maintaining a best-in-class culture.SRM's 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, Go-GetterWhy Join Us?
