Our culture is people-focused, data-driven, and results-oriented.The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms and common spaces to keep the hotel in compliance with safety standards and ensure the safety of hotel guests, associates, and vendors. This position will perform maintenance and repairs along with preventative maintenance to maintain the physical structure and grounds of the hotel and its property.Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain the basic upkeep of all room and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working orderOrganize supplies and make sure equipment is ready for the next dayMaintain high safety standards follow guidelines and tell supervisor about any incidents, dangerous conditions, or unsafe equipmentTake responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, such as the parking lot and pool by conducting periodic tours of the propertyKeep an eye out for improvements follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything in working conditionKeep supervisor or duty manager in the loop and notify them of any low-running suppliesCommunicate effectively with the hotel staffMaintain a professional and friendly demeanor in the dealings with clients, guests, managers, and other hotel staffTake on extra duties as and when the team is in needAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and eveningsAbility to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move heavy objectsAbility to stand during entire shiftAdditional tasks may be assigned at any given timeQualifications:High school education or GED1-2 Years of hotel maintenance experienceCustomer service experienceAbility to effectively prioritize tasksThrives in a flexible environment and can switch tasks quicklyBasic maintenance certification/accreditation preferredIs a team playerAbility to communicate effectively, both verbal and writtenAbility to work weekends and evenings (required)Benefits:Competitive salaryAnnual review with increase potential401k program with company matchMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance available to eligible employeesWellness benefits available to eligible employeesArbor Lodging focuses on Five Guiding Principles to foster a culture where growth, development, and progression thrive within the properties:Do the Right Thing - Operate and act with integrity in all you do even when it is not convenient.Lead with Heart - Be kind, passionate and hospitable.Be Accountable - Take ownership and deliver results.Aim Higher - Go above and beyond to exceed expectations and pursue thoughtful change.Celebrate Differences - Embrace diversity; respect individual opinions and ideas.Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
