Assistant Controller

An Assistant Controller for Absolute Group is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records. Including but not limited to, daily journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and preparation of the financials.Principal Responsibilities:Prepare journal entriesPrepare bank reconciliationsValidate and keep fixed asset spreadsheet currentProcess depreciation monthlyManage company credit cards, create and terminate users, reconcile credit cards each monthManage fuel contractMonthly inventory reconciliations for our shop and erosion control materialsReconcile balance sheet accounts monthlyMonth end review of the balance sheet and income statementBackup to accounts payable and accounts receivableAny other tasks deemed necessaryCapabilities to manage a team Requirements:Associate degree at minimum and 3 - 5 years of accounting experience preferredMust be familiar with computers, emailing and able to work with Microsoft applicationsDetail orientedEffective oral and written communication skillsKnowledgeUnderstanding of all accounting sequencing/critical timeline schedulingProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite softwareSkills and Abilities:Commitment and adhere to the AG Core Values (Dependable, Driven, Fearless, Respectful, Family)Collaboration with internal and external customersAbility to think through processes and job task sequencing/critical timeline schedulingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and documentation skillsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesThe Absolute Group DifferenceAbsolute Group prides itself in its company core values, and we like to think it’s one of the many things that sets us apart from the rest of the field.
