This role is an integral part of a Child Study Team, providing expert assessment services and making a meaningful impact for students and their families.Key Qualifications:Active School Social Worker licenseDemonstrated experience in school-based social work settingsBilingual fluency in Spanish required for evaluation and reportingProven ability with initial evaluations for preschool-aged childrenUnderstanding of Child Study Team processes and special education assessmentsStrong cultural competence and ability to connect with diverse student populationsPrimary Responsibilities:Conduct a comprehensive bilingual social work evaluation for a preschool student referred for an initial assessmentCollaborate with educators, school psychologists, and the Child Study Team to gather background and contextual informationEngage with families compassionately, ensuring culturally and linguistically appropriate communication throughout the assessment processPrepare a detailed evaluation report meeting all district, state, and federal requirements by the specified deadline (July 1, 2026)Maintain professional documentation and adhere to confidentiality standardsObserve school hours (8:00 AM – 2:55 PM) to meet with staff and students as needed, with the evaluation typically conducted during student hours: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PMThis contract offers an evaluation rate of $535 for the bilingual/Spanish assessment.Make a difference as you help students access the services they need to thrive.
