Provide direct/indirect patient care in the Medical/Surgical and Critical Care departments. The nurse shall triage and initiate accurate and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems of patients of all ages within the Medical/Surgical and Critical Care systems as evidenced by written documentation. Nurse will demonstrate independent performance that is consistent with the mission and goals of Medical/Surgical and Critical Care Units and the hospital. Works closely with the physicians, ancillary departments, and co-worker for patients across a wide range of age groups and diagnosis. The nurse may be requested to float to other areas in the hospital. Treats patients, their families, and staff & physicians with consideration and respect.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Associate degree or above in nursing. One-year hospital nursing experience preferred. One-year experience with cardiac monitoring is preferred.CERTIFICATION and LICENSURECurrent Iowa RN license.
