Entry Level Software Engineer Elgin, Illinois Job Description: Work with a team in the design, development, and testing of autonomous and sensor data fusion products with embedded AI for all vertical markets such as automotive, transportation, industrial, and healthcare. As an entry level software engineer, you’ll work with a team in the design, development and testing of AI / ML software, embedded software, mobile device and server applications, databases, and/or secure communication protocols for wired and wireless products. Utilization of best practices for design, development, and test procedures is of utmost importance for the delivery of high quality products. Responsibilities: Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team in the design, development, and testing of autonomous and sensor data fusion products Develop C / C++ / Android / AI applications for embedded, mobile, and server products Utilize best software development and test practices Participate in code reviews, conduct unit testing and perform system testing Troubleshoot and debug performance issues Requirements: BS, BA, or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Mathematics with related coursework in C, C++, or similar programming languages Preferred Qualifications: Coursework in multiple programming and scripting languages; machine learning; computer architecture; software design, verification and testing Internship or Co-op experience or similar role Driven, self-motivated individual Strong analytical and development skills.
