Surgical Scrub Technician – Plastic Surgery Focus We are seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Technician with a strong background in plastic and cosmetic surgeryto support our high-volume aesthetic surgical practice. This role is critical to maintaining a sterile operating environment and ensuring smooth, efficient plastic surgery procedures. Requirements: Prior operating room (OR) experience required Previous experience in plastic/cosmetic surgery strongly required In-depth knowledge of plastic surgery instrumentation and techniques Key Responsibilities: Operating Room Preparation Prepare and organize operating rooms specifically for plastic surgery procedures Set up specialized plastic surgery instruments, equipment, and supplies Instrumentation & Sterilization Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize delicate plastic surgery instruments Maintain surgical trays used for facial, breast, and body contouring procedures Patient Preparation Assist with patient positioning and draping tailored to cosmetic procedures Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper exposure for plastic surgery operations Intraoperative Assistance Anticipate surgeon needs during aesthetic plastic surgery procedures Accurately pass instruments and supplies while maintaining strict sterile technique Sterile Field Maintenance Maintain a sterile field with heightened attention to detail required for cosmetic surgery Monitor room activity to prevent contamination during intricate procedures Specimen Management Properly collect, label, and transfer specimens following plastic surgery protocols Team Collaboration Work closely with plastic surgeons, anesthesiology staff, and OR nurses Communicate effectively to support efficient workflow and optimal surgical outcomes Post-Procedure Responsibilities Assist with OR turnover, restocking, and preparation for subsequent plastic surgery cases Dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to regulatory standards Compliance & Safety Adhere to all infection control policies, safety regulations, and surgical best practices Additional Duties Assist with monitoring patient status intraoperatively as directed Support post-operative care and recovery specific to cosmetic surgery patients As a Plastic Surgery Scrub Technician, your expertise, precision, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced aesthetic surgical environment are essential to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of care.
