Flexographic Plate Making Technician
1st shift: 6am to 2pm, Monday through Friday
Pay: $22 - $25 per hour, DOE
About this opportunity:
Platemaker creates letterpress, flexo, and offset plates according to job specifications and established procedures using platemaking, testing, and computer equipment. Performs quality inspection of plates to ensure they are compliant within a pharmaceutical environment. Maintains platemaking equipment and inventory.
What you will do:
Focus on image creation and delivery of plates for the pressroom.
Create a variety of plates for print production.
Manage workload through constant communication with production office.
Proofread digital art files.
Manage inventory and supplies on a regular basis.
Maintain work area and equipment to the standards of a clean pharmaceutical environment.
Work safely at all times; following all safety protocols
Other duties as assigned or directed
What you have to offer:
Must be able to differentiate between colors
Computer aptitude required for programs such as Automation Engine, Microsoft and Adobe products
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage various tasks and priorities in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment
Strong understanding of common mathematical concepts
Ability to comprehend metric and standard units of measurement
Ability to receive instructions and carry out duties in a correct and timely manner
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, required
AA in graphics field (NOT graphic design) preferred, or 3 to 5 years of experience in platemaking in a pre-press commercial shop.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling in order to perform job.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, unassisted

The anticipated salary range for this position is $22 - $25 per hour. DOE
