Job Title: Builder @ Living Essentials in Wabash, IN Reports to: DC Supervisor Hours: 5:00am - 4:30pm Job Summary: The Builder is responsible for picking and putting together pallet orders on the LTL dock. This position reads a picking document, retrieves the correct product from the appropriate bin, scans those cases to an order, and assembles them on a pallet such that accuracy and product integrity can be maintained from start to finish. The Builder stages loads on the LTL dock in close proximity to the carrier door the load will be shipping from. He/she uses the pallet wrappers, drives a forklift to place and remove skids on the wrappers, to properly load a trailer. The Builder performs cycle counts and monthly inventory, as well as research, investigate, and resolve inventory variances. Essential Functions:Pick orders from picking documents by taking the correct number of cases of each item ordered from the correct locationScan each case selected to the appropriate order in D365.Place cases on pallet with heaviest, bulkiest items on bottom and lighter, less dense items on top. Create multiple pallets for each order based on number of items/cases ordered, keeping like items and SKU's together.Replace or repair pallets as necessary.Move pallets to staging area based on close proximity to the carrier door the load will be shipping from.Regularly communicate with floor leadership and management regarding order status and shortages/exceptions.Investigate and resolve scanning issues/errors.Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies by working with the appropriate personnel.Perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts.Create and print labels as needed.Report any out of rotation or close to code/out of code product to floor leadership and management. Correct and fix as directed.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned (Example: Helping verify, product reorganization & continuous improvement plans). Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to gain a general knowledge of computers and data systems, and a working understanding of Microsoft Dynamics D365.Able to obtain license to drive powered industrial trucks.Properly handle product to minimize damage.Follow proper instructions.Be able to identify and correct unsafe practices.Attention to detail.Good organizational skills.Able to work with minimal supervision.Must perform work with a sense of urgencyAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while stocking, storing, and maneuvering around the work area.Able to stand on feet for 10+ hours.
