LAB TECHNICIAN (Electrical & Mechanical Tests)

GM&T Engineering, Inc an Ypsilanti Michigan based company, specializes in the Engineering and Testing of Electrical Distributions Systems for the Automotive and Aerospace industries. GM&T Engineering is an ISO-17025 accredited testing lab and is also certified by NASA/JPL for inspection and testing of PCB's batteries, soldered electrical contacts, crimps, wire harness and electromechanical components. GM&T’s proprietary & patented test methods allows a faster and better diagnostic of failure modes on electrical contacts and electrical/electronic devices.JOB DESCRIPTIONValidation testing of components:* Perform micrographic analysis and cross sectional tests* Perform mechanical tests (tensile, compression, etc.)* Perform electrical test (dry circuit, current cycling, resistance, temperature rise)* Perform thermal imaging tests* Incoming inspection and extraction of samples* Programming and scheduling thermal shock, temperature and humidity chambers . Characterization of quality defects* Correlation of test results, design parameters and manufacturing processes (ultrasonic welding,       laser welding, crimping, splicing)* Digital image processing (develop software for pixel counting on thermal images C/C++?)* Statistical analysis* Data acquisition Interaction with customers and other employees* Attend meetings with customers.* Visit R&D centers and assembly plants. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA + COMPUTER LITERATELOCATION: YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN.
