Substitute School Safety AssistantDistrict: Inglewood Unified School DistrictPay Rate: $20.27 per hourJob Description:Under the direction of the Principal or site administrator, the Substitute School Safety Assistant assists school administration in ensuring the safety of students and school district personnel; continuously monitoring student activities during school hours in and around the school facility ensuring any crime and crime related activities occurring in or around school campuses are immediately reported to the appropriate personnel./p>Qualifications:Graduation from high school or equivalent.Additional college coursework in criminal justice or directly related field of study from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation is desirable.California Security Guard Card is highly desirable.Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for approved training programs is required.Responsibilities:Assists in ensuring enforcement of federal, state, and local criminal laws and ordinances and assists in making arrests when necessary. (i.e., Citizen's Arrest-California Penal Code Section 837).Assists with investigations which may involve students and/or staff in areas of responsibility.Patrols and monitors school sites via foot or bicycle.Assists in keeping unauthorized people off of the school campus to ensure safety of student population.Assists in preventing or mitigating threats from aggressive, abusive, or emotionally unstable students and assists with conflict resolution and mediation as required.Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with students, parents/guardians, and school personnel.Performs other related duties as assigned.Seize this opportunity before it's gone - apply today and join our team!
