Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a mix of architectural and LV electrical-related scopes on a large, complex design-build correctional project. The role is centered on project management and team coordination — facilitating dialogue between multiple parties, coordinating scope interfaces, and troubleshooting issues before they impact cost, schedule, or quality.The Project Manager will act as a central point of coordination between key trade contractors, the electrical contractor, the design team and their consultants, and the broader project team. Technical exposure to electrical and low-voltage systems is helpful but not required; success in this role comes from strong fundamentals in coordination, communication, and leadership.---Responsibilities· Manage assigned trade scopes from design development through construction and closeout· Lead coordination efforts between trades, consultants, and the project team· Participate in and help drive the design-build process, including design reviews and design-assist efforts· Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and interface conflicts early· Participate in BIM coordination meetings and work with VDC teams and trade partners to resolve clashes and installation conflicts· Coordinate specialty architectural scopes such as partitions, enclosures, access panels, ceilings, and detention furnishings· Coordinate furnished security system components (access control, intercom/paging, video surveillance, and related systems) with the electrical contractor to ensure proper installation and integration· Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and track issues to resolution---Required Qualifications· Minimum 7 years of relevant construction experience· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering (or closely related construction discipline)· At least one completed project of $50M+ construction value or ~100,000 SF or greater· Strong coordination, organization, and problem-solving skills· Ability to read architectural and electrical drawings, including basic low-voltage/security drawings and riser diagrams· Experience working directly with subcontractors and consultants---Preferred Qualifications· Design-build experience· Exposure to BIM/VDC coordination processes· Experience coordinating MEPS or low-voltage systems· Experience with highly coordinated institutional projectsCandidates do not need to be electricians or modelers, but must be comfortable working with technical trade partners and driving coordination to resolution.---Ideal Candidate· Proactive and organized· Able to lead meetings and drive decisions· Comfortable pushing for scope clarity and accountability· Not intimidated by technical trades or complex scopes· Willing to learn and become fluent in assigned systems
