Special Ed Teacher | Gilroy, California

A school district in the Gilroy, CA area is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, contract position supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade, with a focus on middle school resource specialist program (RSP) students. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences by providing tailored support and instruction.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized curriculum tailored to students' unique learning needs.Conduct assessments and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student progress.Collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers during IEP meetings and planning sessions.Foster skill development and create an inclusive learning environment for all students.Manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, ensuring compliance with special education policies.Qualifications:Valid Special Education teaching credentials.Experience working with K-12 students in an RSP or similar setting.Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to remain organized and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Location and Schedule:Gilroy, CA area with possible assignments in Morgan Hill, San Martin, Dunneville, Hollister, or nearby communities.Full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Contract duration from ASAP through June 12, 2026.This role is ideal for educators passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs.
