Document Control SpecialistHGA is seeking a Document Control Specialist to manage, maintain, and control refinery project, engineering, maintenance, and operational documentation across three refinery assets in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role ensures all project and asset records are accurately tracked, reviewed, approved, distributed, and archived in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements, serving as a key liaison between Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Construction, Procurement, Project Controls, and contractor Responsibilities:Administer document control processes for capital projects, turnarounds, maintenance programs, and engineering initiatives across three refinery assetsMaintain document numbering, revision control, transmittals, workflows, and approval processesManage receipt, review, tracking, distribution, and storage of technical and commercial documentationControl engineering drawings, P&IDs, plot plans, specifications, calculations, vendor data, and construction packagesCoordinate document reviews between engineering disciplines, operations personnel, and project teamsSupport Management of Change (MOC) documentation activitiesTrack deliverables from contractors, engineering firms, and vendors, and coordinate turnover and closeout documentationEnsure compliance with company policies, refinery procedures, and regulatory record retention requirementsMaintain document management systems, manage user access, and provide training to personnelGenerate reporting on document turnaround times, approval cycles, and deliverable statusCoordinate document submissions from engineering contractors, suppliers, and construction firmsRequired Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field3-7 years of document control experience in refinery, petrochemical, industrial, construction, or capital project environmentsExperience supporting capital projects, maintenance programs, or turnaroundsProficiency with document management systems (Aconex, SharePoint, OpenText, Procore, EDMS, Documentum, or similar)Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePointPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting multiple refinery or petrochemical assetsKnowledge of engineering documentation and drawing control standardsFamiliarity with Management of Change (MOC) processesExperience working with EPC contractors and project delivery teamsUnderstanding of refinery regulatory and compliance requirementsEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
