Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Merchandise Allocator based in New York, NY.A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law.Position: Merchandise AllocatorLocation: New York, NYEmployment Type: Full-timeCompensation: 75,000 base salary + bonusPosition OverviewThe Merchandise Allocator will be responsible for managing inventory distribution across retail and e-commerce channels to optimize stock levels and support sales goals. This role involves analyzing sales data, identifying inventory risks and opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely replenishment. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesManage in-season stock replenishment across retail stores and e-commerce channels to maintain optimal inventory levelsRun and analyze weekly sales reports to identify opportunities and risks for product performanceSupport merchandising with buy sheets, reporting, and administrative tracking files to ensure accurate documentationRecommend and execute stock transfers between locations to balance inventory and meet demandPartner closely with logistics and warehouse teams to support timely allocations and replenishmentMonitor stock levels and communicate inventory risks and opportunities to merchandising leadershipAssist with ongoing product continuity tracking and inventory planning to support business objectivesParticipate in cross-functional meetings related to merchandising and stock strategy for alignmentIdentify opportunities to improve stock flow and operational efficiency across channelsEnsure accuracy across all allocation reporting and inventory-related documentationRequired Experience/Skills2+ years of experience in allocation, planning, or related retail functionsStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and retail mathAnalytical mindset with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and communication skillsTeam-oriented with a positive, proactive attitudeAbility to work accurately under pressureSelf-starter with strong problem-solving abilityPreferred Experience/SkillsPrevious retail or fashion industry experience preferredInventory management or stock allocation exposure is a plusLuxury experience helpful but not requiredEducation RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related fieldBenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
