Sr. Java DeveloperWe are looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting a new buildout for a high-visibility initiative in the Capital Markets – Securities Lending space. The role involves full-stack backend development with an emphasis on high-performance, scalable systems. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and deployment. This is a hands-on technical role with direct exposure to business users and product owners.Responsibilities:Design, code, and maintain Java-based services and libraries for Securities Lending and related platformsContribute to the buildout of a new component within the Securities Finance platformImplement robust solutions adhering to high coding and testing standardsCollaborate with global development teams, QA, and DevOps for smooth CI/CD integrationWork with business users for requirement analysis, product rollouts, and production supportParticipate in code reviews and enforce best practices in clean code and scalable architectureDocument technical flows and support onboarding new developersRequired Skills & Experience:10–12 years of professional experience with Core Java and Spring Framework (Boot, Data, etc.)Messaging framework experience requiredStrong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systemsSolid experience with SQL and relational databases like MySQL, with exposure to Redis, Kafka, or Snowflake considered a plusExperience using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins)Familiarity with DevOps practices and GitHub Copilot is an added advantageHands-on experience with AWS is preferredBackground in Financial Services, particularly Securities Finance or Prime Brokerage, is highly desirableSoft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCapable of independently managing development tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teamsSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
