Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist/Evaluation Representative (Part-Time)

Job description:New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc. (NYTPS) is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and compliance for our Early Intervention program. In this role, you will be the final line of defense, reviewing multidisciplinary evaluations for infants and toddlers and ensuring they meet the requirements set by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and New York State guidelines.This is a critical position that bridges the gap between clinical work and administrative data integrity, ensuring children receive the services they need without delays.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Review: Review multidisciplinary evaluation (MDE) reports for clinical accuracy, ensuring that the MDE report is thorough, clear and includes all the required components. Knowledge of Early Intervention testing instruments and scoring guidelines to ensure that the testing tools used and clinical opinion are appropriate.IFSP Evaluation Representation: Represent the MDE Team at the IFSP meeting and provide guidance to families in their preferred language, and facilitate the transition from the evaluation phase to the service delivery phrase in collaboration with the SC and the EIODCompliance Check: Verify that all evaluations adhere to NYC Bureau of Early Intervention policies, including timeliness and required documentation formats.Data Entry: Accurately input evaluation data, ICD-10 codes, and other pertinent information into the EI Hub and internal databases.Feedback Loop: Communicate effectively with the parents/families to explain the evaluation results and the next steps. Also maintain on-going communication with the evaluators (OTs, PTs, SLPs, Psychologists) to request corrections or clarifications on submitted reports.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in New York City Early Intervention (EI).Preferred candidates will be based in the NYC area.Technical Proficiency: Prior experience using EI Hub is highly preferred.Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development and the eligibility criteria for the NYC EI program.Detail Oriented: An "eagle eye" for typos, missing signatures, and contradictory clinical data.Education: A degree and NYS License in a related field such as: Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical therapy.Schedule:Part-time: 25 hours per week.Flexible schedule required.About New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc.: New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc. has been a leader in the educational/healthcare services arena for over 35 years.
