Insulspan, the premier supplier of high performance structural insulated panels (SIPs) for residential and commercial structures, is seeking a General Laborer for 1st and 3rd shift to join our Production Department. Based at our head office in Blissfield, Michigan, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our continued growth in the energy-efficient building products sector.
A part of PFB Corporation, Insulspan has experienced double digit growth and is positioned to capitalize on the expected surge in demand for energy-efficient building materials. Our high-quality SIPs are manufactured with precision at two factories in Michigan and British Columbia, serving a rapidly expanding customer base across the United States and Canada.
Functional Responsibilities Include:
Safely operate powered tooling (grinder, chop saw, table saw, reciprocating saw, nail gun, etc.)
Accurately measure and cut lumber, plywood, OSB and EPS
Read shop drawings to ensure correct relief depth and location
Use forklift to transfer panels and other materials
Perform quality control checks, ensure product meets specifications, and accurately record results
Employment Conditions:
Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the day
Able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to handle noisy conditions
Skills, Knowledge and Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
2-3 Years manufacturing experience preferred
Able to read tape measure
Physically capable of performing frequent and heavy lifting
Forklift license/certificate preferred
