This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep experience in USDA and FDA inspections, HACCP-certified expertise, and a passion for operational integrity.You'll be based out of either Allentown, PA or Ruther Glen, VA, but your impact will be felt across the country. With extensive travel and multi-site oversight, you'll be the quality backbone of our fresh food supply chain—ensuring every facility meets the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.What You'll DoDevelop, implement, and supervise comprehensive food safety and quality programs across multiple distribution centers and kitchen operationsConduct scheduled and unannounced audits, inspections, and peer reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirementsLead HACCP, Food Safety, and Food Defense teams at each locationEnsure all sites meet USDA, FDA, SQF, GMP, and customer-specific audit protocolsOversee environmental and microbiological testing programs, including issue investigation and resolutionManage and mentor QA supervisors and quality control technicians across multiple facilitiesIntroduce and maintain food safety frameworks including pesticide residue control, sanitation practices, pest management, and food defense protocolsPlan and execute bi-annual mock recalls and follow up on corrective actionsAnalyze quality control data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvementServe as a liaison with government regulators, customers, and vendors regarding food safety and quality assurance mattersSupport inventory disposition decisions and ensure proper documentation and reporting across all sitesWhat You BringHACCP Certification (required)Experience with USDA and FDA inspections and regulatory complianceProven success managing multi-site food distribution or manufacturing operationsSQF Practitioner and Food Defense Certification preferredStrong leadership skills with experience managing managers and cross-functional teamsHigh proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and WMS systemsExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and lead with integrityWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs and work in varied temperature conditions typical of distribution centersComfortable sitting at a computer for extended periods and navigating warehouse environmentsMust be able to travel extensively (50–75%) across regional and national sitesNote: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs.
