Data Entry Specialist The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) funds the County Re-entry Task Force (CRTF) initiative to provide re-entry services to individuals released from prison and supervised by the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS). CRTFs prioritize individuals assessed as moderate to high risk of recidivism and help them to address their stabilization and criminogenic needs to support successful re-entry and reintegration into the community.Under the supervision of the Director, the Data Entry Specialist (DES) will be responsible for tracking and ensuring the integrity of data for the three County Reentry Task forces. The DES will receive, enter and review data in Fortune's agency-specified data management system and/or other utilized data tracking systems. The DES will ensure that the data is recorded and determined accuracy. The DES will also conduct day-to-day quality assurance and ensure compliance with program/unit objective.Core competencies include embodying Fortune's mission and values, attention to detail, collaboration, technical and analytical skills. Essential duties and responsibilities include monitoring data of all client services, managing databases, resolving deficiencies, collecting and verifying data accuracy, performing data integrity tasks, complying with data integrity and security policies, scanning and uploading documents, generating reports, maintaining logs, collaborating with program staff, conducting data clean up and organization, attending meetings and conferences, engaging in ongoing professional development, and performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications Qualifications include an associate's degree in public health, human services, criminal justice, sociology or related field preferred, 1-2 years of data entry experience, quality assurance or related office experience, thorough knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, detail-oriented, computer savvy and organized, experience using office equipment, ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds in a culturally competent manner, strong written and verbal communication skills. Relevant personal experience is a plus. Frequent travel between Fortune offices throughout NYC, meetings and other relevant events is required. The Fortune Society is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
