Construction Manager - Data Center Design, Engineering, & Construction

Meta is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Data Center Engineering & Construction Team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. Building and operating data centers the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability and capital conservation. The data center engineering team thinks from chip to chiller (or electrical substation), determining configurations and ensuring maximum efficiency of our compute infrastructure.Minimum Qualifications7+ years of work experience in construction managementMulti-Project experience in large scale construction management, mission critical, infrastructure, and or data center constructionGeneral knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systemsKnowledge of capital budget management and contract administrationNegotiation skills and experience providing solutions to problemsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree strongly preferred, may consider equivalent experienceKnowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including fire protection regulationsLEAN Construction knowledge and application of those toolsFamiliar with P6ACC Procore software experienceBluebeam software experienceMicrosoft Office and/or Google Workspace experienceBuilding Environment Accreditations (i.e. LEED, SITES, TRUE, WELL)Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesResponsibilitiesManage the construction, commissioning, and turnover of a Data Center within a campus programManage the budget associated with the projectManage the cost change process and negotiate best pricingManage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover datesManage warranty and tenant improvement work in the live environment when/as necessaryCommunicate upward regarding the status and risks of the projectNegotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders as neededMitigate risk for the project through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnershipDevelop cost savings solutions and identify project savings/underruns earlyPartner with the General Contractors, Vendors, & Cross-Functional Partners to foster an environment of collaborationCoordinate needs and asks with the Procurement/Sourcing group(s) to support the needs of the ProjectSupport the pre-construction efforts for upcoming projectsPromote prefabrication strategiesSupport the development of Capital Project Budgets and Constructions ROMsSupport the Campus Construction Manager with the campus-wide book of work including contractor, designer, and vendor managementSupport the on-site inspection process to ensure a zero punch-list and an expeditious turnover to FacOpsSupport the Regional Construction Operations Manager in the management of the regional book of work including contractor, designer, and vendor managementSupport the local DC Ops team and other cross-functional departments as neededPromote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communicationsSupport and lead an industry leading safety programPromote and model an environment of openness to giving, seeking, and receiving 360-degree feedback10% travel to headquartersRespond on an as-needed basis to emergenciesAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
