This position prepares and solders electronic components onto Printed Circuit Board (PCB's) according to specifications. You will work hands-on to assemble components, perform rework, and ensure all products meet strict quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and consistent performance.Hourly Range: $18.00 - $23.00 hourly, depending upon experience. Our customers range from Mil-Aero Defense OEM's and integrators to cutting edge Medical Device EquipmentEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Perform all levels of SMT and thru hole hand component soldering to IPC standards.Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and automatic equipment for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.Work with leaded and lead- free solder.Interpret resistor color codes and capacitors values.Advanced understanding of PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions.Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.Has an advanced understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components.Rework, repair, and modify printed circuit boards and/or assemblies to required specifications.Provides guidance and training to lower-level Soldering Operators.Maintains department specific records.Is consistently at work and on time. Must adhere to company specified work schedule.Other duties may be assigned.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training in the electronics field.Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.Must hold current J-STD-001 certification.Language SkillsProficiency reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.Mathematical SkillsAbility to use a tape measure and ruler. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.Computer SkillsPerform basic computer duties as assigned.
