REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Traveler Experience: Unit WILL Accept 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, PCA, External CPAP/BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions Certs: BCLS and NIHSS JOB DETAILS: Ratios: 1:6 Shift: 12 HOUR DAYS; 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours. OPTION TO SIGN 13-26 WEEKS ***RTO: 7 days MAX*** Float Requirement: as needed to any other Med/Surg units Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: We have a dedicated surgical unit comprised of 12 patient beds. We attempt to place all surgical, ortho, and spine patients on this unit. They at times can overflow on another unit. We have a unit that is dedicated to COVID/PUI. When our numbers are low, any patient can go to this unit. The remainder of our unit is for telemetry/medical. We do not take bipap/cpap/vents on then unit. Those patients would go upstairs. We are a small community hospital so most all surgical and medical patients would come to this unit. We do not require ACLS on the unit but we do require NIHSS. UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, SBAR, EPIC, unit huddles and communication books utilized. SCHEDULING TYPE: Self schedule and balanced by leaders but if schedule is already posted, leaders will schedule to fill in gaps.
