DescriptionResponsible for preparing nutritious meals for patients, staff and visitors and for preparing catered meals as requested. Conduct business as a health care professional. Knowledge of special diets. Must be able to follow menus and maintain a spirit of cooperation. Other duties as assigned.RequirementsTwo-years prior food service experience preferredMust be familiar with special dietsGood Communication SkillsAbility to follow directions accurately, prioritize work responsibilities, and to function without supervision and as a team memberMust pass skills test (75%)EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GEDPHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Intermittent movement throughout the hospitalIntermittent use of a keyboardAbility to lift 30% of your body weight not to exceed 50lbs.Ability to read and understand EnglishAbility to communicate verbally and in writingAbility to interact with patients, families and staff in a professional manner.Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature
