Engineer
Responsibilities
Create, configure, and maintain displays for end users. Regularly update displays to ensure alignment with the EMS models, end user requests, and field conditions.
Manage displays for all EMS and Training Simulator applications.
Provide hardware and technology support for end users.
Provide backup support to maintain Operating diagrams.
Provide EMS team initiative and project support related to project requirements, documentation, implementation, or other aspects as directed by EMS Leadership.
Support vendor coordination as directed by EMS Leadership.
Participate in weekly Team calls to plan work and resolve issues.
Perform display work, potentially involving SCADA modeling, troubleshooting of SCADA communications, and SCADA controls.
May perform testing and troubleshooting on EMS systems, including SCADA model, SCADA front-ends, communications, and supporting applications.
Perform UI changes as necessary to support SCADA point to point testing.
Requirements
Education background in Electric Grid, and local to area.
0+ year of experience working with computer or information systems.
0+ year of work experience supporting testing and troubleshooting on EMS systems, SCADA front ends, communications, and supporting applications.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to take initiative.
Experience with MS Professional Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Visio).
