Production Supervisor

Avtec Finishing is looking for an experienced 2nd shift production supervisor to oversee operations in our metal finishing and plating facility where science meets manufacturing.

Attendance matters: We rely on our team being here when scheduled. Our success depends on employees that show up to work. That means showing up every day, on time, and not leaving early. We reward strong attendance with bonuses!
Strict security protocols: Personal mobile devices must be locked up during shifts (available only on breaks and in designated areas).
Warehouse environment: Exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and noise. This is hands-on, active work. We have a clean warehouse and are compliant with OSHA, Federal, and State regulations.
Career-oriented: Youll have the chance to grow with us if you bring a strong work ethic and initiative. Growth can be becoming an expert in the position, becoming a lead/trainer, changing departments, or going into a supervisor/manager role. It all depends on what interests the employee and the effort put forth by the employee.

What youll do
As our production supervisor, youll be the first line of leadership on the production floor.
Lead & develop your team: Assign tasks, train, coach, and maintain a safe and productive environment.
Drive results: Monitor production schedules, labor, and quality metrics to ensure on-time delivery.
Ensure top-quality work: Conduct frequent inspections, enforce standards, and reduce quality issues through continuous improvement.
Maintain safety & compliance: Uphold safety protocols, ensure proper PPE usage, and enforce company policies.
Manage production flow: Adjust schedules and job assignments to maximize efficiency.
Communicate & report: Provide updates to management and maintain employee performance records
What you need to succeed
Have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision (metal plating or finishing a plus).
College degree
Excel at leading teams and fostering accountability and productivity.
Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
Can balance problem-solving with hands-on leadership.
Are reliable, organized, and motivated by achieving goals.
CEF/NASF certification or willingness to obtain
Hazwoper/Hazardous Waste training, preferred
Forklift license, preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use basic measurement tools
Working conditions
