Project Overview
Morris Technology Solutions (MTS) is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to lead a critical migration project for a medical supplies distribution client. The primary objective is to transition a legacy web-scraping API from PHP to Python. The current system is hosted on AWS and is responsible for large-scale data extraction and compilation. This role involves not only a direct language migration but also the architectural improvement of the system's scheduling and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities
API Migration: Rewrite the existing PHP-based scraping API into Python using FastAPI.
System Architecture: Design and implement a robust Task Scheduler to manage scraping frequencies and data refresh rates.
Environment Management: Ensure the application is fully containerized for consistent deployment.
Data Integrity: Manage and optimize data flows into SQL databases, ensuring accuracy and performance during the compilation phase.
Iterative Development: Collaborate with the client to implement feature tweaks and performance optimizations as requested.
Technical Experiences
Languages: Expert-level Python (FastAPI preferred) and ability to read/interpret legacy PHP.
Infrastructure: AWS ecosystem and Linux server administration experience.
DevOps: Containerization (Kubernetes/Proxmox)
Database: SQL
Specialization: Proven experience in web scraping frameworks and managing asynchronous tasks.
