Supply Chain Planning Paid Internship

American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Supply Chain Planning Intern for our Findlay, OH location. This position will report to the Demand Planning Manager.Responsibilities For This Position IncludeSupport and participate in monthly Supply Plan Reviews across all manufacturing locations as part of the American Plastics S&OP processAssist in developing optimized supply plans aligned to monthly demand forecastsEnhance and standardize supply planning templates and reporting toolsDevelop schedule attainment reporting to monitor production plan executionImprove machine and mold capacity reporting to enhance visibility into constraintsSupport scenario modeling and reporting for demand spikes, downtime events, and capacity shiftsParticipate in monthly Demand Plan Reviews for key customersIdentify and implement opportunities to automate reporting in Power BI and ExcelResearch best practices in supply planning, data analysis, and integrated S&OP processesSkills/Key CompetenciesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize and analyze large datasetsExposure to Power BI or other data visualization toolsInterest in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and data analysisAbility to work independently while collaborating across departmentsA focus on efficiency in both individual work and team processes, continuously striving to streamline processesDemonstrates integrity, accountability, and professionalismAmbitious and growth-oriented, with a proactive approach to personal and professional development RequirementsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Operations, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldJunior or Senior standing preferredDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong academic coursework in relevant coursework (supply chain, operations, statistics, finance, economics, etc.) If you are interested in joining the American Plastics team and want to work in a fast-paced, progressive environment, we want to hear from you.
