This role is ideal for a strategic healthcare IT sales leader who thrives in complex enterprise environments and is passionate about helping organizations solve critical data exchange, integration, and interoperability challenges. The Sales Director will play a key role in driving growth, building executive-level relationships, and positioning innovative integration and data quality solutions that enable scalable digital transformation and AI initiatives across healthcare ecosystems.What You'll Do Identify and develop new business opportunities within health plans and payer organizationsManage and grow strategic accounts through consultative account planning and expansion strategiesBuild trusted relationships with executive stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, Operations leaders, Clinical leaders, and Digital executivesPosition interoperability and integration solutions that reduce complexity, improve data quality, and streamline payer workflowsDrive sales performance through disciplined pipeline management and forecastingAlign solutions with payer priorities including:Administrative and medical cost reductionInteroperability and compliance initiativesProvider experience improvementsData quality and analytics readinessLead proposal development, product demonstrations, contract negotiations, and opportunity strategyCoordinate cross-functional resources and virtual selling teams to maximize client outcomesStay informed on healthcare payer market trends including FHIR/API adoption, interoperability mandates, and evolving care delivery modelsConduct consultative discovery, needs analysis, and solution presentationsMaintain knowledge of competitive healthcare IT and interoperability vendorsExecute proactive outreach and account-based engagement strategiesDocument all sales and prospect activity within SalesforceLeverage AI tools and workflows to improve reporting, planning, analysis, productivity, and operational efficiencyDevelop repeatable AI-enabled processes, templates, prompts, and automations that enhance scalability and decision-makingWhat You'll BringBachelor’s degree in business, healthcare IT, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered5–10+ years of experience in complex healthcare software sales and account managementDemonstrated success closing both net new business and expanding existing healthcare customer accountsExperience selling into payer organizations strongly preferredStrong understanding of healthcare IT, interoperability, integration platforms, and modern data exchange solutionsAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholdersConsultative sales approach with exceptional relationship-building skillsExperience managing long sales cycles and complex enterprise opportunitiesStrong verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skillsPassion for healthcare technology and customer successAbility to travel as needed within assigned territoryCarex Consulting Group is an equal opportunity employer.
