Senior Financial Analyst
Job Description:We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the financial and operational performance of a fast-growing, project-based reconstruction and restoration business. This role will serve as a key finance partner to operations, with a primary focus on tracking job performance, analyzing margins, and providing visibility into project-level financials.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in finance or public accounting who are looking to transition into a more operationally focused, forward-looking finance role.Selling Points:PE backed and great opportunity to get exposure to the PE worldGreat culture with this role having significant autonomy under strong leadershipWill be involved in diligence and analysis of acquisitions down the roadKey ResponsibilitiesOperations Finance Partnership (~75%) Partner directly with operations leaders to monitor and analyze job-level performance, including revenue, costs, margins, and profitabilityTrack and report on project progress, billings, and backlog, ensuring alignment with financial expectationsAnalyze job cost variances and identify risks or opportunities impacting project marginsSupport forecasting and budgeting processes, with a focus on project pipeline and revenue conversionAssist in improving job costing, reporting accuracy, and financial visibility across active projectsProvide actionable insights to operations to drive margin improvement and cost controlFinancial Analysis & Reporting (~25%)Support month-end close through variance analysis and reportingAssist in preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and KPIsConduct ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-makingContribute to process improvements and financial modeling initiativesWill be involved in due diligence and analysis of acquisition targets as that becomes a priorityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field1–3 years of experience in: Financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance OR Public accounting (audit or advisory), ideally with exposure to project-based or construction businessesStrong proficiency in Excel and financial modelingSolid understanding of financial statements and accounting principlesAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholdersHighly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesOnly local candidates OR those wiling to relocate without assistance will be consideredAdditionally, no sponsorship will be available for this role
