You'll perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and power generation equipment associated with the wastewater treatment plants and related facilities equipment. You'll oversee day to day maintenance, repairs, new installations, and improvement projects associated with a WWTP. Your future.#omfs #bia #ourjacobsEssential Duties And Responsibilities Planning, scheduling, and directing the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of specialized mechanical equipment, buildings, structures, and grounds. Assists project manager in department budgeting and estimating cost and time for all aspects of repairs or replacements. May preform duties of other department supervisors in their absence if required, including approving work assignments, scheduling shifts, preparing work schedule and other duties assigned. Reads, interprets, and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations. Reviews drawings and equipment specifications as required for client improvement projects. Performs skilled mechanical repair work on water/wastewater treatment plant equipment and related equipment. Performs skilled mechanical repair work and diagnostics on cogeneration equipment and related auxiliary equipment. Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and to prevent recurrences. Prepares detailed reports and proposals required to facilitate the duties of a maintenance supervisor. Provides on-the-job training to staff and provides direction as required to facilitate repairs when needed. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical machinery or equipment as needed. Is proficient in the repair, maintenance and fabrication methods required of a supervisor. Professional understanding of the state requirements for biosolids equipment and application, and fleet maintenance requirements for CDL equipment and staff. Performs other duties as required.Here's what you'll needHere’s What You’ll Need Experience supervising or in a leadership position. Experience with general business management practices Fleet management, experience with heavy equipment maintenance and operations. Bio Solids program management, regulations and principles, methods used in the application and management of a BMP program. Experience with asset management CMMS/Lucity and the general practices and methods used to manage a large industrial system. Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions Oregon Wastewater I or ability to obtain within one (1) year. Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and to enter data into a computerized maintenance management system. Knowledge of safe work practices, supervisory training, and federal and state laws as they pertain to the water/wastewater industry.Ideally, You'll Also Have Trade school education with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical equipment and metal fabrication or college degree in a relatable field. ABC Maintenance Technologist III (ability to obtain within 2 years.) ABC Collections Systems Operator I or higher (ability to obtain within 3 years.) Oregon Wastewater I or higher (ability to obtain within 1 year.) Operate plant Process Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Knowledge of principles of supervision and training. Five+ (5) years of experience with knowledge of the principles, methods, tools, and materials employed in the general operations, maintenance and repair of advanced electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, including combustion engines, vehicles, electric motors, farm machinery, generators, pumps, and related equipment associated with water/wastewater systems.Working ConditionsSafety is a core value at Jacobs.
