Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Duties - Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. - Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and proper handling techniques. - Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to sanitation guidelines. - Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes. - Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. - Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. - Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other culinary roles within the food industry. - Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and fine dining service standards. - Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent knife skills and proficiency with various cooking equipment. - Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. - A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
