HRSG Field Technician
HRSG Field TechnicianLocation: U.S. Based (Extensive Travel Required)Compensation: $75,000-$100,000 (DOE) + OT (after 45 hrs/week) + Per DiemWe are seeking a HRSG Field Technician responsible for on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems. This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient startup and operation of large-scale power generation equipment at customer facilities.Key Responsibilities:Oversee installation, mobilization, and erection activities for HRSG systems at customer sitesDirect subcontractor work and ensure compliance with safety (EHS), ASME codes, and project specificationsPerform inspections of HRSG piping, structural components, and mechanical systemsExecute commissioning activities including hydrotests, chemical cleaning, blowdowns, valve settings, and startup checksTroubleshoot and support repair of plant systems such as condensers, feedwater heaters, and heat exchangersInterpret P&IDs, welding procedures, lifting plans, and technical drawingsServe as the primary on-site technical representative, coordinating with customers and project teamsMaintain detailed site documentation and progress reportingQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)2-5+ years of experience in power plant construction, commissioning, or maintenanceStrong understanding of boilers, HRSG systems, piping, welding, and mechanical systemsExperience working in industrial or field environments with strong safety awarenessAbility to travel extensively (up to 100%) and work in demanding conditionsWork Conditions:Field-based role with 3-5 month project assignmentsHeavy travel during peak seasons (spring/fall)Work may include 6-7 day weeks during outages or peak project phasesOT paid after 45 hours + per diem based on locationEmployee BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and pet insurance401(k) Retirement Savings PlansEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Commuter/Parking AccountsPeople PerksHealth Savings Account (HSA)AD & D InsuranceThis is a strong opportunity for a hands-on field professional seeking high-impact work in power generation commissioning and startup projects.Click "Apply Now" to be considered.The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role.
