This role will handle phone calls from patients and prescribers, supervise a team of pharmacy technicians, and perform pharmacist verifications. The incumbent will prioritize patient care, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and contribute to a positive work environment. Additionally, the MedBox Pharmacist will be involved in drug ordering, workflow organization, issue reporting, staff performance evaluation, and supporting the management in the oversight and operations of all aspects of the pharmacy.This is an open recruitment position with continuous (or rolling) hiring.Schedule DetailsIn-Person (Laguna Hills, Ca)Monday to Friday 6:00am-6:00pm, Saturdays 7:30am-4:00pmDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service to patients, prescribers, internal staff, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their needs are metSupervise a team of pharmacy technicians by providing guidance, support, and maintaining a productive, professional and positive work environmentPerform pharmacist duties with accuracy including: pharmacist verification 1 (PV1), pharmacist verification 2 (PV2); calling for and receiving prescription transfers promptly and accurately; ensuring patient safety through DUR and DDI review; and maintaining adherence to regulatory requirementsTake responsibility for inventory management including: drug ordering duties as delegated; maintaining appropriate inventory levels; minimizing shortages or overstock situations; and loss preventionComply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy including record-keeping, controlled substance management, and patient privacyMaintain a clear and organized workflow and workplace to minimize errors and delays and to ensure that our customers receive their medications on timeIdentify and report any issues or problems to their direct manager, suggesting appropriate solutions or improvementsMonitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure best practices are being followed; identifying training needs; providing feedback; and reporting any instances of carelessness or non-compliance to their direct ManagerCollaborate with the team to prevent inefficiencies in the operation, suggesting process improvements and implementing best practicesPerform recall duties as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate handling of any recalled medications or productsRequired QualificationsExcellent customer service skills, with the ability to empathize, communicate effectively, and resolve issues professionallyStrong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team of pharmacy techniciansDetail-oriented approach with excellent organizational and time management skillsProficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy software systems and electronic health recordsIn-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care while managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify issues and propose effective solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectivelyFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as neededEducation and Experience RequirementsValid Pharmacist license in CA, with a good standing and compliance with all licensing requirementsLeadership skillsAbility to effectively supervise a teamAmeriPharma's Mission StatementOur goal is to achieve superior clinical and economic outcomes while maintaining the utmost compassion and care for our patients.
