Line Cook and Prep Cook

Mother Bear's Pizza was established in Bloomington, IN in 1973. In 2024 we expanded for the fist time outside of Bloomington to Columbus, IN. Our goal is to provide award-winning pizza in a laid-back, playful atmosphere. ****The first round of back of house hirees will be training at one of our two Mother Bear's Pizza locations in Bloomington during the month of August 2024. Reliable transportation is required and a mileage remibursement will be provided.**** We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at our brand new Columbus location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and an attention to detail. This role is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities - Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as cutting and chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, making salad dressing, etc. - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety guidelines and ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working order. - Assist in food preparation and cooking, including frying, sautéing, and roasting, as needed. - Work effectively in a team environment to ensure efficient food service and maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and customers. - Monitor food temperatures and maintain a clean and organized kitchen. **Qualifications** - Prior experience as a line cook or prep cook. - Knowledge of food safety and handling practices. - Proficiency with knife skills and the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen. - Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a positive attitude.
