Post Doc Research Scholar, Maryland for Community Schools (Contractual)

Responsibilities and DutiesConduct quantitative data analysis including but not limited to regression analyses and linear modeling of administrative data that is both publicly available through the Maryland State Department of Education and data that the MCCS research team collects through its own instruments.Administer qualitative data collection including interview, observations, and focus groups with community school-based staff, school district leaders, family members, students, and/or partner organizations throughout the state. Collect data analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data using data analysis software; contribute to the report writing to share internally and to the Maryland State Department of Education Conduct literature reviews, a summary of research in the fields of community schools, school reform, collective impact, implementation science, equitable school practices, and family and community engagementCollaborate with a research team on a large evaluation project led by a team of faculty members required by the state of Maryland, including required regular meetingsPresent research findings to the Maryland State Department of Education and/or at local and national conveningsThe work hours for this position may include in-state and overnight travel.Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.Qualifications And SkillsRequired Qualifications:PhD in education, policy, sociology, or a related fieldOne year of data analysis experience, which can include experience accrued during doctoral programKnowledge of data analysis software programs (i.e. Dedoos, NVIVO) or related qualitative coding softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical capabilitiesPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of community schools or the state of Maryland school systemBilingual in English and Spanish Organization: Academic Affairs DivisionPrimary Location: Main CampusJob Posting: May 20, 2026
