Position Summary
EnterSource is seeking an experienced Lead Field Splicer to oversee fiber splicing operations in the field. This role is hands-on and leadership-driven, responsible for ensuring splicing work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while guiding and supporting field technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee single-mode and multi-mode fiber splicing (fusion and mechanical)
Lead field splicing crews and coordinate daily work activities
Read and interpret fiber prints, splice diagrams, and construction drawings
Test, troubleshoot, and document fiber networks using OTDR, power meters, and light sources
Ensure all work meets EnterSource quality standards and customer specifications
Maintain accurate splicing documentation and closeout packages
Enforce safety standards and best practices in the field
Coordinate with project managers, construction crews, and clients as needed
Train and mentor junior splicers and technicians
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on fiber splicing experience
Proven experience in a lead or senior splicer role
Strong knowledge of fiber optic testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
Ability to read and interpret construction prints and splice schematics
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale OSP and ISP fiber projects
Familiarity with various enclosures, panels, and fiber management systems
OSHA or safety certifications (preferred but not required)
