Loan Originator (San Diego)

Wilshire Quinn Capital, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join our team as a Loan Originator for our bridge lending fund, the Wilshire Quinn Income Fund.This position is heavily focused on originating new business and developing long-term relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, business purpose loan brokers, bankers, and borrowers throughout the West Coast. The ideal candidate is a strong sales professional who thrives on prospecting, networking, and creating new lending opportunities.Experience in the hard money, bridge lending, private money, or Non-QM lending space is preferred but not required.Responsibilities Include:Actively originating new bridge loan opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship developmentBuilding and maintaining relationships with mortgage brokers, bankers, real estate professionals, and direct borrowersGenerating consistent loan volume by identifying and cultivating new referral sourcesInitiating cold calls, setting meetings, and attending networking events to expand business development effortsStructuring and discussing loan scenarios with prospective borrowers and brokersFollowing up on inbound inquiries and maintaining an active pipeline of lending opportunitiesMaintaining detailed notes and borrower information within the company CRMAssisting with loan packaging and coordination throughout the loan processRepresenting Wilshire Quinn Capital professionally in meetings, calls, and industry eventsCandidate Must Demonstrate the Following:Strong sales and business development abilityProven ability to originate and close new business opportunitiesSuperior phone skills and confidence making cold callsEntrepreneurial mindset with a self-starter attitudeGoal-oriented and highly motivatedExcellent interpersonal and relationship-building skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to think creatively and solve problemsAbility to travel locally for meetings and networking opportunitiesCollege degree preferredMinimum 1 year of real estate lending, mortgage sales, business development, or financial services experience preferredCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary + Tiered Commission + Quality BonusBenefits include:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid time offMedical benefits become available after 3 months of employment.ScheduleMonday to FridaySupplemental PayBonus payCommission payEducationBachelor's degree preferredExperienceLoan Origination: 1 year preferredSales or Business Development: 1 year preferredWork LocationIn personPlease do not contact our firm after your resume has been submitted.
