EDM Machinist - 2nd Shift
EDM Machinist PositionWe are looking for an experienced EDM Machinist to join our 2nd shift in Santa Clara, CA.EDM Machinist ResponsibilitiesReviews work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and CNC EDM parameters to create parts according to customer blueprints and instructionsMonitors machine coolants, lubricants, oils, fluids, grease, and fills as required and documents maintenance on Coolant Fluid Maintenance LogPrograms, sets-up, and runs CNC EDM equipmentPerforms preventative maintenance of EDM machines as requiredClosely monitors and adjusts operation of machines and/or tooling while regularly inspecting parts for conformance to requirementsDesigns, fabricates and/or provides support to manufacturing personnel for tooling, cutters, work holding, fixtures, jaws, and procurements required to manufacture partsQualificationsHigh school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent5 - 10 years of experience in a precision machine shop environmentExperience working on at least two major types of CNC machinesRecent experience with programming CNC equipment utilizing CAD/CAM software systemsMust interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Preferred SkillsTraining in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra, and geometryFamiliarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plusPayCompetitive pay based on experienceEmployees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their payEligible for OvertimeOpportunity for a one-time retention bonus after a set number of completed regular work hoursBenefitsHealth Benefits: Medical, Dental, and VisionLife and Disability: Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Long Term Disability401K Retirement Plan (3% company match)About us: A Silicon Valley leader in manufacturing and assemblies, Calmax Technology, Inc. manufactures precision machined parts and provides turnkey assembly to Fortune 500 customers across technology, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and medical industries.
