This position supports residents’ recovery by helping them restore a sense of engagement, productivity, and contribution.Location: Mill Spring, NCSchedule: Monday – Friday 8 am - 5 pmPay: Starts at $18.00 per hour and increases based on experienceBenefitsPTO/Sick Time Accrual from first dayMedical/Dental/Vision benefitsCompany funded life insuranceRetirement Plan with a company matchFree meals on shift ResponsibilitiesLeads the CWS garden program, organizes daily tasks for the crew, with a variety of options to meet resident needs Collaborates with members of residents’ recovery teams when assistance or more support is needed for a residentAttends Recovery Planning meetings and other meetings to support the residents Documents information in the resident’s electronic health record and/or communicated to the resident’s team Provides guidance and leadership to support staff and interns assigned to the garden Coordinates with the kitchen about what produce is available in the garden. Manages and maintains the health of the fields and gardens Collaborates with the CWS Program Manger to develop the annual garden plan and future crop rotations Monitors and maintains supplies for the garden and the garden crew Places seed and live plant orders in line with annual garden plan Monitors fences, buildings, and equipment. Repairs small damages and reports any issues that cannot be resolved by the CWS team Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment QualificationsEducation in a related field or equivalent life/work experience in botany, gardening, farmingExperience working with adults coping with significant mental health challenges preferred Ability to work in various weather, be moving, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently At least 21 years of age or older with an acceptable driving record to be on company car insuranceCooperRiis is an equal opportunity employer.
