A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM • Scheduled day off based on department needs, but special requests considered when possible • Scheduled late a few times per month • No on-call requirements • Possibility of floating within perioperative facility • Block scheduling available per manager's discretion • Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • Minimum 1 year of experience required • South Carolina or Compact nursing license required • BLS certification required • Radiation badge provided by parent company • Experience required in ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, robotics, total joints • Unit does not perform general surgery, L&D, or pediatrics • Epic charting system experience preferred • Patient ratio of 1:1 • Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients • Responsible for prepping patients, reviewing history, reconciling medications, obtaining vital signs and EKGs, starting IVs, hanging fluids/antibiotics • Recovery duties include monitoring post-anesthesia patients through care phases and discharge planning • Work with orthopedic procedures including total joints, arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, and spine cases • Required to complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start Facility: This ambulatory surgery center specializes in orthopedic procedures and features 2 operating rooms, 2 GI procedural rooms, and 1 VIR procedural room with 20 pre/post patient bays. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art surgical equipment including Skytron slider beds, Neptune suction systems, Stryker power tools, and Arthrex integrated arthroscopy systems. The center provides comprehensive orthopedic services in a fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
