Sponsors is nationally recognized as a model utilizing best practice in reentry services.Sponsors ValuesEmpowerment: We support each individual in making their own choices to lead their best lifeDignity: We respect and believe in the goodness of every personCommunity: We are stronger when everyone is able to fully participate and contributeCandidates who are highly proficient in English and Spanish may be eligible for a 5% bilingual differential pay (certified by examination).Purpose Of PositionIndividualized case management is a core component of Sponsors' programs, and case managers serve a vital role in conducting assessments, initiating program referrals, developing dynamic and supportive case plans, and in carrying out the overall operations of the Transitional Housing program. The Case Manager will learn and reflect Sponsor’s values by integrating behaviors and best practices into daily work.Position ReportingThis position reports to the Transitions Program DirectorThis position does not have supervisory responsibilitiesJob ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of Case Management for assigned program participantsEnsure program participants are compliant and progressing appropriately in transition/exit planning Assist in the coordination of program operationsIntra and Inter-Agency Collaboration and CommunicationOther Duties as Assigned by the Transitions DirectorRequirementsSkills and Knowledge:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityAbility to foster teamwork, promoting process improvement and build relationshipsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareAbility to work effectively with a wide range of people to achieve individual and organizational objectivesCommitted to the mission and values of Sponsors and reentry servicesEducation And Experience2+ years of experience providing direct client services in a social services setting; OR1 year providing social services to individuals in the criminal legal systemPreference for case management experienceHigher education in a related field preferred (but not required)Work EnvironmentThe incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform dutiesThis position may travel between locations at the direction of the Transitions Program Director in an effort to meet program needsMay encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workdayMay encounter individuals experiencing distressPhysical DemandsWalking up and down stairsSitting at a desk for prolong periods of timeNoise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office environmentPost-conviction Supervision StatusSuccessful candidates for this position must not be on parole or probation and cannot be in a diversion program (e.g. SB416, Treatment Court, DUII Diversion, Restorative Justice).Employment is contingent on a background clearance by the Oregon Youth Authority through their external review and approval process.The Perks Of Being a Sponsors Team MemberWork with an amazing team of passionate, talented and committed individualsWork for one of the Top 100 Non-Profit Organizations in OregonHealth, vision, and dental insurance for employees and eligible dependents. 100% of employee premiums are paid by SponsorsOver 2 weeks of sick and vacation leave per year.
