Important Note – Please Read Before Applying Local candidates preferred Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship Must have relevant U.S. construction industry experience Role: Sr. Estimator- Underground Wet Utilities Location: Greater Phoenix, Arizona Employment Type: Full Time | On-Site Salary Range: (DOE, Open for right fit) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for our General Contractor client to lead the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for complex underground utility construction projects, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems. This role works closely with preconstruction, project management, and field leadership to evaluate scope, pricing, risk, and constructability to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate brings deep municipal underground infrastructure experience and thrives in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the estimating process for complex commercial and municipal underground utility projects from bid invitation through final submission and project handoff Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand scope, schedule, and constructability requirements Prepare and oversee detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and competitive bid proposals Develop project budgets, cost and revenue projections, and preliminary schedules Identify and evaluate project risks and collaborate with internal teams on mitigation strategies Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to validate production rates, material pricing, and construction approaches Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client discussions Ensure estimates comply with contract requirements and municipal specifications Analyze historical cost data and develop value engineering strategies Maintain organized estimate files and cost databases Mentor and support estimators and take-off coordinators Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered) Minimum 10 years of estimating experience on complex underground utility projects Strong experience estimating water, sewer, and storm drain infrastructure Proven experience with bid-day processes, GMP development, budgeting, and forecasting Strong knowledge of municipal specifications and MAG standards Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project) Experience with estimating platforms such as Bid2Win, HCSS Heavy Bid, InEight, or similar Experience with BlueBeam and On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Primarily office-based with extended periods of computer use Long periods of sitting and screen exposure #J-18808-Ljbffr
